Our own terms and legal disclaimer say this plainly, and this page says it here rather than burying it four clicks deep, because a site that talks about "our technicians" on the home page and admits it has none in the fine print is a site you should not trust with a $10,000 decision.
Why a referral service exists at all
Restoration is an emergency trade, and emergency trades have a matching problem. At 2 a.m. on the coldest night of the year, half the contractors in the metro are already committed, and the homeowner with three inches of water in a finished basement has no way of knowing which ones are free, which ones handle Category 3 sewage work, and which ones will actually pick up.
A referral line solves that matching problem and nothing else. It does not make the contractor better. It does not make the price lower. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling.
What we are useful for
Triage over the phone. Describing the water source, the affected area and how long it has been sitting is usually enough to establish the IICRC category and drying class, which are the two numbers that set your price. That takes about five minutes and costs nothing.
Honest cost ranges. We publish the actual line-item rates behind a restoration estimate — crew labor per hour, air movers per day, dehumidifiers per day, antimicrobial per square foot — so you can read a quote and spot padding. Most restoration sites publish "every job is different" and leave it there.
Insurance reality. Sudden and accidental water damage is usually covered. Gradual leaks, deferred maintenance and outside flooding usually are not. Local specifics. The failure modes here are Colorado-specific: freeze-thaw pipe bursts, spring snowmelt in basements, monsoon-season sump pump failures, and hail-driven roof leaks that show up weeks after the storm. What we will not do
We will not tell you a contractor is "certified" or "fully insured" when we have not seen the certificate. We will not quote a price sight unseen. We will not publish reviews or star ratings we cannot substantiate — there are none on this site for exactly that reason. And we will not tell you your claim is covered.

No. Emergency Restoration Hub is a marketing and lead-generation service. We connect property owners with independent restoration contractors. We do not own trucks, employ technicians, or perform extraction, drying, remediation or rebuild work ourselves.
Do you check that contractors are licensed and insured?
We do not independently verify licensing or insurance beyond what a contractor tells us. You should ask any contractor for proof of general liability coverage, workers compensation, and IICRC certification before work starts, and you should confirm it yourself rather than taking our word or theirs.
Do you charge homeowners anything?
No. There is no charge to call, describe your situation, or be connected with a contractor. Contractors pay to receive referrals. That is the business model, and it is worth knowing because it means we have a commercial interest in you making the call.
